Damage 1940

A photograph of the houses destroyed in May 1940 at the corner of Oranje Vrijstaatplein, Christiaan de Wetstraat, and Transvaalstraat. In this sector, intense battles took place between troops of the Dutch Light Division and the German Gruppe de Boer. This led to considerable damage to the houses in the area.
