Dutch soldiers Amstelwijck

Dutch soldiers at the front of the villa are busy filling their food tins that they hold in their hands. Many buildings have been added since May 1940 when it was just the villa. In the casemate park opposite the villa, Dutch soldiers were ambushed by a German paratrooper attack on the morning of May 10th, resulting in many casualties on the Dutch side.
