Posing at the De Wit brothers statue

A German soldier posing by the monument of the Brothers De Witt between the Visbrug and the Groenmarkt in Dordrecht. He is a soldier of the Luftwaffe, as indicated by his clothing. The statue for the Brothers De Witt was created in 1918, designed by the sculptor Toon Dupuis. In 2001, it was designated as a national monument. Nowadays, it is a popular spot among the people of Dordrecht to park bicycles. This German soldier obviously thought it was worth immortalizing himself there.
