Pontonniers at the Korte Kalkhaven

The photos clearly show how little has changed in this perspective. Many buildings on the Kalkhaven would, however, be completely destroyed in May 1940. These Dutch soldiers are dressed in the prototype uniform. They are armed with a carbine and bayonet.
