Retreating German soldiers

May 1945. The war is over! The Germans, disarmed by the Canadians, are leaving Dordrecht, returning to the Heimat. On their way, they passed through the tunnel in Krispijn. Citizens of Dordrecht watched as the former occupiers returned to Germany with carts and bicycles. It resulted in these unique images.
