German paratroopers at the Berkenhof farm in May 1940. The farm still exists today. In May 1940, it served as a field dressing station for wounded Dutch and German soldiers. In this photo, several German paratroopers are seen near a supply drop container with medical provisions. Behind them, several Dutch prisoners of war can be seen.
